© "FLOM - A Guide To U2 Bootleg CDs" / Sascha Kremer:
The show begins with David Fanning broadcasting from the show and introducing U2 as "...the band who started in this city 10 years ago and the band who's dominated the 80's. It's a New Year's party and the live band is U2!" amidst great fanfare from the cheering audience. A quick fade which edits out the Beatles' "All You Need Is Love" and Fanning counts down the last seconds until midnight as bells ring and Bono sings a few lines of "Auld Land Syne" during the intro to "Where The Streets Have No Name". Although the set list is somewhat routine for The Lovetown Tour, powerful versions of "Where The Streets have No Name", "I Will Follow", "One Tree Hill", and "New Year's Day" are performed. Many highlights include the first few lines of "All I Want Is You" perfectly segueing into "Bad". The second disc is filled out with the complete 'Save The Yuppies' free concert from Justin Herman Plaza, San Francisco on November 11, 1987.
