Unlike the vast majority of the bootlegs recorded from the television broadcasts on the fourth leg of the PopMart Tour, this one has pretty bad sound quality. There's a predominant hiss on every track and it's especially annoying during the quieter parts. Also, the band sound rather tired and relieved that the tour is finally coming an end. There's a weird edit in "Pop Muzik". The song fades out and then fades in again during another part. "Gone" is dedicated to Michael Hutchence. Bono shouts some stuff in a South African language (don't know which one) during "Even Better Than The Real Thing". He sings about the last night of PopMart and the new South Africa during "Last Night On Earth". "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" features a reflective Bono, who thanks the men and women who took the tour around the world (the PopMart crew), Adam, The Edge, Larry (for letting him be in their band) and Paul. He then talks about Archbishop Tutu and president Mandela, two amazing personalities in the new South Africa. "Stand By Me" is linked to the song. Unlike the track list on the back, "All I Want Is You" is indexed together with "Stand By Me". The former has snippets of "Never Us Apart" (by INXS). "Please" is introduced as "an Irish prayer for peace" and dedicated to Liz, whoever that may be. Snippets of "We Are Family" show up in "Discotheque". Bono says goodnight to everyone during "With Or Without You" and calls out the technicians' names instead of the band members' in "Mysterious Ways". He talks about the new South Africa again during "One" and wishes everybody well for the future. A very peaceful "40" ends the concert and tour. I don't know if "Mofo (Phunk Phorce Remix)" was actually played through the PA after the concert, or whether it's the single track with audience noise mixed in.
I only recommend this bootleg to people who went to this particular show and to die-hard collectors. For the others: buy a bootleg of the Mexico City, Sao Paulo or Santiago show instead. They offer much better sound quality and a more spirited performance by the band. However, in the future this show will hopefully pop up on another bootleg with better quality.
